Yalumba The Scribbler tasting notes: 2012 Cabernet Shiraz

In episode 124, we venture back to the Barossa Valley  to create Yalumba’s The Scribbler tasting notes.

This South Australian Drink Of The Week is a Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz blend that caught Steve’s imagination instantly.

The Cabernet, he said, is like a large, grippy canvas that’s been laid upon the ground and the Shiraz drifts in across it like Shakespeare characters looking for a show to perform in.

Tom said he wished the live tasting had been filmed, to capture the facial expressions!

This wine was a very pleasing drop with all the elements balanced well and a price tag that sits just under the $20 mark in most outlets.

Tom also provides a superb anticlimax about the #scribbler promotion that accompanied the launch of this wine.
