126 – South Australia vs Cancer

Cancer will affect 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women in South Australia, so our guest this week is Lincoln Size, Chief Executive of the Cancer Council SA.

Lincoln gives us an overview of the work carried out by Cancer Council SA, its volunteers, and its partners, he also talks frankly about where we are in the fight against cancer.

There are some deeper reminders about cancer prevention than you can typically get from a quick media bite, including some messages about sunscreen and drinking alcohol.

And our song this week, Ain’t Got No Time by Caramigo, recommended by our musical curator, Adrian Miller, from Radio Adelaide’s Monday night program, Songcatcher.

They have just recorded a soon-to-be-released album called Unravel, full of songs about self-care, looking after yourself, and connecting with the things that matter.
