2013 d'Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz tasting notes for The Adelaide Show Podcast

This week, in episode 183 of The Adelaide Show Podcast, guest, Dr Bill Griggs, provided a Dead Arm because it can refer to the loss of circulation and feeling in one’s arm if you fall asleep in a chair with a glass in hand.

The first thing Steve noted about the wine this week was how it settled gently onto the palate, like a soft landing in a Medivac helicopter. Even though Dr Bill Griggs said there aren’t many soft landings in emergencies, he conceded the point.

In a sign of great consistency, the panel found themselves making similar comments to those shared in the recent review of this wine, the 2013 d’Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz tasting notes from episode 181.

Steve did, however, allude to the tannins in a new way, likening the way they dry the palate to the way the draft from a helicopter would blow away dust from a landing pad.
