Things we loved

  • Unexpected tricks
  • Great audience involvement

Things we would reconsider

  • Nothing comes to mind

Matt Brandwood, another Adelaidean magician with only 6 years under his belt quickly got into the flow of things with a quick hidden card selection via knife trick and was soon into the thick of it.

His show cracks along at a good pace and he works the audience well, selecting people randomly and with good effect.

He progressed on to some good sleight of hand with an audience’s phone magically appearing after apparently having been destroyed and thence onto the real mentalism.

Georgia helped out here with her demonstration of “non-verbal communication” which in some cases was literally true and all cases impressive.

Other demonstrations of mentalism followed and the audience were enthralled with some really good and convincing work.

Matt is a card

As the show ran to a close, the cards the audience been given whilst waiting in line came into play.

Swapping and destroying the cards by the whole audience was really enjoyed and something I hadn’t seen before.

Although with a close to full house Matt’s excellent show is probably running up a pretty large cards purchase bill which would match the audience’s enjoyment of the show.
