Things we loved

  • Great spirit
  • Deafening laughter at times
  • Just good people!

Things we would reconsider

  • A broken wine glass turned out not to be an omen (yes, it was hard to find a criticism of that audience)

There are some nights when all the elements come together perfectly. You might say, blending in witching harmonies!

Last night was one of those nights, at the performance of 2 Cats On A Hot Fringe Roof.

Apart from a near disaster with Ralf’s projector, the show ran smoothly, and apart from some hearty tipples, the audience performed faultlessly.

In fact, better than faultless, last night’s audience rewarded the performers and themselves with deep, hearty rounds of laughter.

Of particular note were some hilarious insights from one of Adelaide’s iconic illustrators, Casey C, who revealed how her mum had videoed Fat Cat’s goodnight scene and would play it to Casey whenever she wanted to institutte bed time. This meant she was sometimes sent to bed at 5.30pm!

There was also rather frisky interaction between audience members, especially in the front row. Luckily, indecency laws do not cover audiences at Fringe events.

This audience should be extremely proud of itself and would be welcomed by performers anywhere.

And this audience also produced some intriguing Mr Squiggle drawings. Bravo!

PS There were others but it looks like they have not tagged them with #2CatsFringe. We will add them as they do.
