Well, actually, the first P of the four Ps of marketing stands for Product, and it is true that your “product” needs to be great, or rather, needs to be a great fit for the target market you are aiming at. It’s then easier to set a Price and determine the Place(s) to have your Product available from, once we know who we’re courting. Which leads us to Promotion. And promotion will always be a sad drain on resources unless you have truly uncovered a curious talking point that is relevant to your ideal consumer. And that’s what we do when we sit down with brewers, distillers, and winemakers for The Adelaide Show Podcast, or in our private consultations.
