In Episode 002, we enjoyed a 2006 Shiraz from Saltram in the Barossa Valley.
The Mamre Brook label is well respected in wine circles and the Boring Boys all agreed this one was superb.
In listening back to the episode, there was a little slurring towards the end as the warm, rich 15.5% alc/vol took affect.
Plenty of intense fruit despite the wine being seven years old, balanced by some medium tannins.
This really is a top drop and one that stands easily next to wines sold for two to three times the price.
