Our guests, Ben Owen and Eszter Vasenszky, chose the 2015 Joseph MODA Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot as the SA Drink Of The Week in episode 246 of The Adelaide Show.
They did so because they LOVE everything produced under the Joseph label by Primo Estates, from wine to olive oil.
When Eszter was a Messenger Newspapers journalist, she remembers doing interviews with Joe Grilli about the company and she fell in love with their produce then.

The most striking feature of this wine is its darkness and its heavy, full body.
Steve’s first note, after a grunt of pleasure, was to comment on the blackberry that filled his palate. He said it is like going to the large, glass dome at the Botanic Garden, filled with botanics, blackberry, and a little earthiness. Furthermore, it is like Nigel is with him wearing leather pants, providing a little trace of leather.
Ben said it is one of his personal favourites and he loved the way it is made in the traditional Italian style of air drying their McLaren Vale grapes on shaded outdoor racks for two weeks BEFORE crushing takes place. This explains the concentrated fruit flavours.
Ben also said he gets chocolate on his palate with surprisingly soft tannins and Eszter says it just delivers what she wants from Cabernet and Merlot.
Nigel was struggling to name a particular flavour prompting Steve to name it as musk Lifesavers; just a hint, and it comes back into the mouth after swallowing.
