Does Adelaide have a new avenger?

Former Adelaide gal, Lucy Gransbury, now living and performing in Melbourne, joins us live via Skype to talk about her blog post, Adelaide doesn’t need your approval. which was a scathing rebuttal of Anthony Sharwood’s poison piece about our city, discussed in Episode 010. The picture here is one she talks about in the article.

While on the subject of ‘setting the record straight’, is Adelaide really the City Of Churches? Maybe, but probably not for the reason you are thinking. Rob Morrison of Curiosity Show fame and Leigh McClusky of Today Tonight fame feature in Colin’s segment, Adelaide’s Yesterdays.

We also have our first Story From The Street as Sean O’Connor shares some observations about the new Adelaide Oval from up atop the stands.

Wine from South Australian company, Nardone Baker Wines – an international award winning Shiraz, followed by Plan B performing a song with international credentials.

Brett shared a story of a Jim Barry Wines cellar door person lending a couple a gold decanter for the night to decant some Jim Barry wine they had bought while staying near the winery on holiday, only to realise it was a wine award trophy!

Stories From The Street: Sean O’Connor, who worked for six months on the Adelaide Oval site during its rebuild, sent us a recording of his observations at the top of the new stands, along with some pictures which we have added to our Flickr account and Facebook Page. You can submit snippets of audio too, just record using a voice memo app on your smart phone and email us the MP3 – we can do editing for you. Thanks, Sean.
