Kelly Beaumont’s guitar work, singing, writing and joie de vivre once again captured my ears this week. This song, “Smile it’s Free” has a catchy little guitar hook from the start with her trademark boom-chick playing style and vocals where you’re quite likely to be bopping away with headphones on, eyes closed, forgetting you’re actually in a public place. It’s unrestrained singalong and disappointing that the commercial radio stations aren’t even aware of this stuff. Have a couple of listens, I bet you’ll at least be doing the shoulder jive by the second one.
