I discovered Thom through a friend’s share of an event on Facebook. I’d not heard of him before, so I checked out his page at TripleJ Unearthed and really enjoyed the feel of his work; the folksy Arlo Guthrie/Barry Louis Polisar style vocals and the music-box feel to the guitar work seems to fall inline with your nervous system and makes it very easy to listen to. The song itself seems to be a realisation of a love and a communication of intent – “No more things, you catch my drift? You’re all I need, I’m a minimalist”.
I’ll certainly be looking to hear more now and catch him live.
