Too Many Women – Mick Kidd – 029

mick kidd bannerMick Kidd has been around the Adelaide music scene for a long time, he’s currently doing a round of solo original music around Adelaide. Apart from just being a hard worker, he’s got some serious cred, being the lead guitarist for “The ASO plays Pink Floyd” in 2008 and consistently doing well in SCALA’s FOOM (Festival or Original Music) competition, year after year.

This track is a fairly standard blues stomper about someone struggling with too many women in his life. But like Steve says, being limited often leads to creativity; within the standard format, I love what the harp player on this is doing to support the song, and Mick’s slide guitar work is frenetic. A great good-time pub track.
