An ABC report suggests the government is favouring moving our clocks forward half an hour to bring our timezone into line with the Eastern seaboard.
According to the story, an official report into the pros and cons of a timezone change completed in May, has not delivered a conclusive answer either way.
It has detailed some advantaged and outlined a litany of costs and risks.
What caught my eye was the comment by Business SA CEO, Nigel McBride who rattled off his list of things where times can easily be changed by regulation, such as school times.
However, he omitted how he intends to modify our publication schedule.
Do we need a podcasters’ union?
Will we need extra coffee to speed the editing process?
Who will replace the faded curtains in our studio?
Time will tell, I suppose 🙂
We can change things like school times, working times, by regulation. We’ve got plenty of flexibility to move that around.
