Our Official Tea

066-devoteaGiven that Queen Adelaide is our late patron it is only fitting that Queen Adelaide Superior Breakfast Tea from Adelaide’s Devotea should be the perfect tea to accompany our podcast.

In episode 66, Robert Godden explains the history of the blend and how it has been designed to capture an 1800’s style of tea.

From the Devotea site: This tea combines some delicate Chinese Black tea with some more robust ones, and smooths it with a selection of mid-strength black teas from the gardens of India. Overall, this produces a coppery-to-tan liquor and a solid palate, with little astringency and no tannic overload. It’s a breakfast tea that wakes you gently and insistently and not in a rowdy fashion.
