**UPDATE: July 28, 2016: Correcting the record: when on The Adelaide Show podcast recently with Steve Davis, I stated that the recommendations made by the Royal Commission were for the acceptance of used nuclear fuel, and not radioactive waste. This was wrong: the recommendations and analysis pertain to acceptance of BOTH used nuclear fuel and intermediate level radioactive waste, though the vast majority of revenues relate to the used nuclear fuel. I have noted this while reviewing the materials today for study purposes. My apologies for the unforced error, I had spent too long away from the source material. Ben Heard.

He was once a strong opponent of nuclear power until he underwent a Road To Evidence-Based Damascus experience about five years ago and since then has been a strong proponent.
