In episode 75, we poured Tim Adams‘ 2010 The Fergus and were expecting a rather light wine, given the light, translucent look of the wine as it was being poured.
But on the palate this four variety blend held our tongues captive with a most enjoyable mix of ‘caramel-like chocolate’ for Steve and Nigel was getting a lot of spice.
The four grape varieties at work are Grenache, Tempranillo, Mataro and Shiraz with Tempranillo being touted as the one that gives this blend a note of intrigue for seasoned wine drinkers.
You can hear the team taste the wine here.
