We talk about the 2012 Fox Creek Duet Cabernet Merlot from McLaren Vale.
Firstly, let us tell you, this wine is sumptuous.
Right from the nose through to the long, lingering finish, this wine impressed our panel.
Taryn noted hints of chocolate whereas Steve described the fruit on his palate as akin to passing on Christmas pudding and opting instead for a salad of ripe, red summer berries.
We LOVED this wine. Such great body, balanced tannins, all round SUPERB!
Secondly, the name, Duet, led also to some satisfying conversation about the sensation of living in a duet with a voice in your head urging you on or, sometimes, holding you back.
