Eat, drink and be generous: How South Australians can indulge in charity this Christmas

This weekend, people of Adelaide and South Australia have three ways to eat, drink and be generous this Christmas.

The time is ticking on these opportunities so let’s dive in. They involve:

Kytons Christmas Puddings and Anglicare

119-xmas-kyton-puddingsKytons Bakery has helped thousands of South Australian community and school groups raise millions of dollars through lamington drives over the past 75 years but this Christmas they have a new mission.

This Adelaide-based family business is teaming up with Adelaide Fresh and Tony & Marks to help donate hundreds of their award-winning Christmas puddings to Anglicare SA’s Christmas Hamper Appeal.

These are not just ordinary puddings, they have won first prize for for the second year in a row at the Royal Adelaide Show.

All we have to do to help is to buy a Gourmet Christmas Pudding before December 13th from Adelaide Fresh, Tony and Marks or direct from Kytons Bakery at Edwardstown, then they’ll count up the sales and match them one-for-one with Christmas puddings for Anglicare SA.

Ainsley’s Rainbow Adelaide Hills Shiraz

Ainsley Machonicie has lived with MS for many years but earlier this year she embarked on a stem cell process to halt the disease and possibly reverse it.

We interviewed her on the show: Of spinal cords and stem cells.

As you can imagine, it was not cheap.

But many of her friends, our show included, chipped in with different fundraisers and the current one for her involves a 2013 Adelaide Hills Shiraz from Tilbrook Estate Wines.

It is $145 a case and MUST be collected tomorrow, Sunday December 6 2015.

All you need to do is order it online now and collect tomorrow. Full details here.

Baristador Coffee

And, finally, Steve’s small, gourmet coffee label, Baristador Coffee, has its last group roasting for the year.

If you like dark roasted coffee beans with a choice of caffeine level (yes, he makes a decaf that is superb, seriously), please consider placing an order before midnight, Monday, December 7 2015.

Steve funds the running costs for the podcast from Baristador Coffee.

He also shares part proceeds with Kiva, an organisation that loans your money to people in need around the world. They pay it back, then the loans can go out to others. Steve supports women in coffee growing nations through your support.

Order Baristador Coffee Online.

Finally, if you know of other kind hearted South Australians, please forward this post onto them.
