Once again, Brett proved himself to be the dark horse, bringing a super wine that none of us had encountered before. That’s why he looks so cocksure of himself in the picture!
Three Dark Horses is a project run by Matt Broomhead, former Coriole winemaker.
The ‘three’ refers to Matt, his dad, Alan, and his grandfather, Frank.
In this case, the three also refers to the grape varieties in our drink of the week, tasted in episode 42, namely, Shiraz, Grenache and Touriga.
Our team loved this wine and enjoyed its big flavours, notably dark cherries and floral notes.
This is a wonderful drop and shows what passion can produce.
All we can say is giddy up to a good bottle shop or their website and add this to your stable of wines!
