The man behind Two Dogs alcoholic lemonade and Longview Vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, Duncan MacGilvray, died this week while on holiday with his family in Bali.
To honour this great man of South Australian food, beverage and hospitality, we selected his 2010 Longview Yakka Shiraz to toast our patron, Queen Adelaide, this week in episode 021.
This was a magnificent find and we regret that it was Duncan’s passing that led us to it.
For just under $25, Yakka delivers a smooth, spicy Shiraz that would be the envy of winemakers everywhere.
There is everything to like about this wine and Steve Davis has bought remaining stocks from two local bottle shops as testament to how much it has impressed him.
